It’s Here! Unboxing Your Nutrisystem

The wait is over! Nutrisystem order arrived this afternoon, and I am excited to get started. Have you ordered yours yet?

My Nutrisystem order came in two parts, since there is a mix of frozen and non-frozen items. Note that your frozen and non-frozen items are shipped separately, so the do not always arrive on the same day. My frozen items were packed in a large styrofoam box with dry ice to keep them cold (*there will be instructions on what to do with dry ice- follow them!). The box was not very heavy, and was easy to bring inside and into my kitchen. There was also a packing list with every item I received on it for reference. I like to separate my frozen items by color- I always love the day it arrives and my freezer looks so color-coordinated and organized!

The non-frozen items were shipped in a lightweight cardboard box. In my last post, I mentioned that I prepaid for three months up front. If you do this, remember that all three months’ worth of food do not come at the same time! It will be sent in three separate shipments about four weeks apart. In the non-frozen items box, I also got the paperwork that will layout exactly how to follow the plan. I ordered a 5-day a week plan (there is also a 7-day plan), so for five days of the week, I will have a Nutrisystem Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner. For the first seven days, I will be following their “7 In 7 Plan” which will look a little different. Everyday on Nutrisystem, you can add in non-starchy vegetables to your heart’s content. Nutrisystem’s website has some great ideas for recipes to keep those veggies anything but boring!

Alright, I’m ready! One thing you may want to do for Week 1 is to keep those meals separate from the rest to keep it as easy as possible. The “7 In 7 Plan” guide is available on Nutrisystem’s site, and I took a look to see what’s ahead- each day was laid out clearly with two Nutrisystem ProSync shakes, a Peanut Butter ProSync Bar, with a Nutrisystem snack and dinner. In addition, I am to add in one fruit each morning and as many non-starchy vegetables as I want. During this first week, there is pizza, pasta, meatballs, cookies, popcorn and more- let’s keep the motivation strong and hang tight for those results!
